Business Development Trainee Responsibilities:
This opportunity is based on your interest to understand how companies like these mentioned above actually operate, including how they introduce and sell products in the global marketplace.
Rush Order plays an integral role in the successful implementation of these processes. It will be your job to explain this value to prospective clients and further develop it within the operations of existing clients.
We are looking to recruit future business leaders. Successful candidates will be working in all aspects of our company, including:
- Direct client contact and account management. This includes interfacing with middle managers and high level executives.
- Participate in onsite client visits and on/offsite sales presentations.
- Plan, implement, and continually update Rush Order's marketing initiatives.
- Manage inbound sales calls, including direct prospect contact and proposal / quotation writing.
- Maintain corporate website and make changes and updates when needed.
- Train internal staff.

As part of our team in a business development role, you will help our clients grow and thereby help Rush Order grow. This is one of the few opportunities a graduate will have to work in direct contact with several of the nation's most prestigious and exciting companies.
Candidate Requirements:
The preferred candidate will have a history of success and the ambition to build a career. In addition to your college degree and a demonstration of commitment to your education, we require:
- Exceptional ability to work with a wide range of tasks and people, often simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and oral skills.
- Comfort speaking in front of groups.
- Self motivation and a willingness to take the initiative.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to turn research into opportunity and solutions.
- General interest and familiarity with one or more of the products our clients produce. Examples include consumer electronics, computer hardware and accessories, computer software, book publishing, gift items, and pharmaceuticals.
- General interest in website technologies, including e-commerce.
As a business development trainee, you will be in constant contact with current and prospective clients. Your ability to analyze a situation, develop a plan, achieve the group's consensus, and execute accordingly will be paramount to your success.
We are not requiring a business major. We will consider any background because we believe your success will be dependant on clear thinking, above average communication skills, and natural attention to delivering what you promised.
Both recent graduates and current students graduating in 2007 or 2008 are encouraged to apply. In some special circumstances, we may be able conduct training around your class schedule.
